This is a hard one to answer as it varies from student to student, but to give you an idea, in 10 lessons we would expect someone with no experience to get to an "Advanced Beginner" level - where they will have the tools to construct basic sentences. We have found the speed students learn depends a lot on how diligent they are with their homework. We know it's not always possible but ideally each student would be able to do 2 hours homework a week - which we will assign. :)

The first step is to submit a booking request. An invoice will then be emailed to you once we’ve been able to confirm whether we can fit you in. All payments can be made online using any bank card, or Paypal. Then, once you are nearing the end of your course you can pay for any further lessons at your lesson (using your bank card or Paypal) or online by letting you teacher know - they will then email you an invoice for you to settle online using any bank card, or Paypal

The teachers usually don’t work on bank holidays, however if they choose to they will let you know that you have the option to have a lesson if you want it.

Not necessarily. We reference over 60 books in our lessons – each of which we use for different areas of the language. We’ll bring notes to you each lesson. If however you’d prefer using a textbook please let your teacher know and we will make a recommendation that’s just right for your level and goals.

You will need a notepad, a pencil and an eraser at each lesson. We will provide you with study notes each week. Yes, all we ask for is at least 24 hours notice so we can reorganise our diaries and hopefully book another class in place. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours of the lesson.

Homework greatly assists progress so we prefer assigning it, but if your schedule is manic or you simply don’t feel like it, that’s fine, too. We can work around your ambitions and schedule. You can expect homework assignments to take between 1 and 2 hours a week.

Yes. You can enjoy a 10% discount if you have your lessons in Putney (SW15). You can also enjoy a 10% discount if you book 10 or more lessons. You can can also combine these two discounts - which is very common with our students.

Yes, no problem. Just let us know and we can send the invoice to your company.

We are available for lessons Mon to Fri from 8am to 8pm, or from 9am to 5pm on weekends. Our prices vary depending on time and day. For details see "Prices and Offers" .

We believe it’s most beneficial to our students if we limit each group class to 8 people. If there are more students it limits the amount of focus each student can receive from the teacher.

In order for us to offer the low prices we do, we need at least 5 people to commence a group course. If we do not get enough registrations 7 days before the course starts we will postpone the course start date and let everyone know by email. If this does not suit you we will refund all monies paid.

Yes, absolutely. Most people that join group classes join independently. Joining a group course is a great way to meet friends and learn in a social and fun environment.

You can book a free one-to-one assessment of your Spanish level. This usually takes about 30mins. If you are considering a group class you will need to come to Putney for the free assessment. Get in touch today and book your free Spanish level assessment!

You will be exposed to Spanish from both Spain and South America. If you are unfamiliar with the differences, just think of American English versus British English – it’s the same sort of thing. :)

Group lessons are not held on bank holidays or bank holiday weekends.

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for partly completed group courses, and it is not possible to offer your place to somebody else.

No, the minimum you need is an internet connection and a microphone and speaker. If you have a webcam your teacher will then be able to see you but that is not essential.
