Many couples enjoy private Spanish lessons with us. Sometimes in preparation for a holiday or moving abroad, often just as a fun activity.

We teach private groups of up to 5 people. This is a popular choice for groups of friends or families who want to learn together.
Children
We teach children age 5 and older. Our teachers have specialised training; we have teaching material and games that are age appropriate.
Scholars
We offering tutoring to Spanish students at various levels. No matter whether it is GCSE oral, or A-Level or even university level exams - we can help.
Senior Citizens

More about our Private Spanish Lessons
Where we teach
We’re based in Putney and offer discounts for Spanish lessons in Putney, however we also happily meet with our students all over central London. We usually meet our students at their place of work, or at a nearby coffee shop or library. For students who live outside of central London, we usually meet them near one of the main transport hubs (London Bridge, Kings Cross etc).
Lesson times
We are available for private lessons Mon to Fri from 8am to 8pm, or from 9am to 5pm on weekends. We offer discounts for lessons before 4pm on weekdays. For details see "Prices and Offers".
Course duration
Some students have just done crash courses with us prior to a trip or an exam, whilst most students have studied with us between 6 months to 3 years. We can tailor your private course duration around the time you have available, the speed you want to learn, and of course the level of Spanish you want to attain.
Lesson length & frequency
Private lessons are a minimum of 1 hour but can be as long as you wish. Private lessons can be as frequent as you want. The most popular choice is 1 hour lessons once a week but it really depends on what your goals are, and what fits best with your schedule – and of course your concentration levels! :)
Class size
If you want private lessons we can either do this on an individual basis, or you could organise a few friends or family members to join you. The maximum private lesson class size we teach is 5 students. If there are more of you than 5 you may want to consider Group Lessons, or Corporate Lessons.
Lesson format
Your personalised private lesson format will depend on your level and goals, but generally there will be various writing, listening, speaking and reading exercises that you will do with your teacher each lesson. Your teacher will try to speak Spanish with you throughout each lesson. Of course you can revert to English if needed - especially if you are a beginner - so don’t worry! ;)
Homework
Homework greatly assists progress so we prefer assigning it, but if your schedule is manic or you simply don’t feel like it that’s fine too. We can work around your ambitions and schedule. You can expect homework assignments to take between 1 and 2 hours a week.
Our teachers
There are 9 teachers in the team, and all are highly experienced and qualified. Collectively the team has 58 years of university studies among us. All the teachers are native Spanish speakers with half the team being from South America, and half being from Spain. We all love teaching and are passionate about helping students become fluent in Spanish in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

This is a hard one to answer as it varies from student to student, but to give you an idea, in 10 lessons we would expect someone with no experience to get to an "Advanced Beginner" level - where they will have the tools to construct basic sentences. We have found the speed students learn depends a lot on how diligent they are with their homework. We know it's not always possible but ideally each student would be able to do 2 hours homework a week - which we will assign. :)

The first step is to submit a booking request. An invoice will then be emailed to you once we’ve been able to confirm whether we can fit you in. All payments can be made online using any bank card, or Paypal. Then, once you are nearing the end of your course you can pay for any further lessons at your lesson (using your bank card or Paypal) or online by letting you teacher know - they will then email you an invoice for you to settle online using any bank card, or Paypal

The teachers usually don’t work on bank holidays, however if they choose to they will let you know that you have the option to have a lesson if you want it.

Not necessarily. We reference over 60 books in our lessons – each of which we use for different areas of the language. We’ll bring notes to you each lesson. If however you’d prefer using a textbook please let your teacher know and we will make a recommendation that’s just right for your level and goals.

You will need a notepad, a pencil and an eraser at each lesson. We will provide you with study notes each week. We reference over 60 books in our lessons – each of which we use for different areas of the language. As such you do not need to buy one. However if you’d prefer buying and using your own textbook please let your teacher know and we will make a recommendation that’s just right for your level and goals.

Yes, all we ask for is at least 24 hours notice so we can reorganise our diaries and hopefully book another class in place. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours of the lesson.

Yes. You can enjoy a 10% discount if you have your lessons in Putney (SW15). You can also enjoy a 10% discount if you book 10 or more lessons. You can can also combine these two discounts - which is very common with our students.
